At a recital
Coming to a recital
Recitals are short, friendly and held in the main room.
Arrive early
Come a little before the start so students can warm up and find a seat. Doors open to families a few minutes before.
Be a good audience
Silence phones, stay seated while someone plays and clap at the end of each piece. Little ones may walk to the back.
What to wear
Concert dress means a clean shirt and trousers or a skirt, nothing fancier. Students wear what they can play in.
Hear it for yourself
Come to a recital as a guest, or book a placement visit to see the lesson rooms first.
